365- Day 365 "…365 days have passed and…" EXPLORED!!

365- Day 365 "…365 days have passed and…" EXPLORED!!

I quit cigarettes but I’m back to smoking one or two every once in a while...

I got a new baby; yes she is now 1 year old...

I got my degree in tourism...

I learnt how to knit...

I sometimes posed to the camera almost naked, but never posted anything I wasn’t
comfortable with...

I travelled to several places inside Mexico...

I dedicated pictures to close friends when I missed them...

I spent God-knows-how-much-money on props, some were used some were not...

I entered a photography contest... I won 3rd place... I’m still trying to sell the prize...

I had a couple makeovers...

I tried to learn how to edit pictures and I don’t think I quite did...

I broke the project’s rules too many times...

I posted pictures I would have deleted immediately if I didn’t have to post something each day...

I lost a friend I used to call my grandma...

I had the flu... Three times!!...

I got tired of my face and posted silly hands, fingers, toes and hair shots...

I created stories behind characters...

I got to know what my best angle is and ever since, people say I pose too much for
regular pictures...

I created (what I think are) awesome makeup looks and dared to do extreme looks too...

I failed to get the picture I was thinking of too many times...

I saw Oasis live 4 times... 3 in Mexico, once in Japan...

I visited friends from my childhood...

I had an internet fight with a friend I really care about...

I cried over a lost friendship...

I started a diet... I lost 30 pounds...

I tried to exercise; I can never do it for too long...

My favourite Mexican football team lost the championship twice...

I got a super cool camera from my sister for Christmas...

My sis and I pretended we liked Star Wars even though neither of us has seen the movies... But the laser sables were cool for pictures...

I created 4 theme weeks...

I got a job...

My project started to fail as soon as I didn’t have time to do what I thought were cool pictures...

I took very disgusting pictures because I was too busy with other things...

I tried to come back, but it never lasted over a week...

I tried to be artistic in a way I can’t be... That of course, was a total FAIL...

I learnt legs, heels, mouth/lips and some other body parts, will get a lot of attention in Flickr...

The so called “swine flu” was a topic to discuss with many people...

I was very proud of many pictures people think were rubbish...

I reunited with friends and we still see each other every week now...

My best friend got married...

I received a birthday present from Uruguay...

I tried to learn how to play the guitar... I still can’t...

I went to Japan...

I decided to start new projects...

I created over 52 costumes and more than 40 makeup looks...

Over all it was an awesome year, because it made me know a bit more about myself, it made me get better (believe it or not) at photography and I won a lot of new friends...

To those who followed me through these, thank you for the support!!
Am I doing it again?!
Hell no!!

I’m a Gemini, I’m surprised I finished it... LOL!

On the little ledge of the larger mirror are small perfume vials; I LOVE little perfume bottles.
I have some perfumes on the top box: AnaisAnais (one of my all-time favorites), Moonlight Path (a Bath and Body Works scent), and a Baby Phat perfume in the cute small bottle.
Then there are my makeup brushes....not too pleased with the filler I have in the containers to hold up the brushes so that'll probably change soon.
In the little black container in front is a small Kubuki brush. So cute :)
Then there's makeup in the purple boxes, moisturizers in the two front round containers, and earrings in the small hand (it's made of milkglass...I LOVE some milkglass!)
In the white container (rear right) are some perfumes: White Linen, Happy, Toujours Moi, Gloria Vanderbilt, and 5th Avenue. In front of that is a container of my lipsticks and lipglosses.
I've been wanting some new perfumes lately so I'll have to save up for them! On my "wish list" :
Vera Wang's Princess
Juicy Couture
Jessica McClintock
Burberry
Vanilla Lace (a Victoria's Secret perfume)
Love Spell (another one from Victoria's Secret)

It's kind of a big list but I mean, c'mon, who doesn't like perfume!? haha! Well, I guess some people don't but I love it. I've never had a bunch of perfume at one time though. But most of my bottles are just about out! All of them! So that's why I'm saving up for some more; it feels better to have the cash on hand rather than buying on credit. Slap that cash down and BOOM it's done! No waiting around for credit card statements or incurring late fees for this gal! ha!

Day 16 - Brushes

Day 16 - Brushes

When I get down, I go to my makeup for consolation.
Why? I've been hermity. I don't really want to leave the house, see my friends, hang out... Blah blah blah. I've become increasingly comforted by staying home. This isn't me. It won't be me forever. But it is for the time being.
I take short rides, just to get out of the house. But increased meds now make me even more sluggish. I'm not liking it very much- the sensation is extreme exhaustion coupled with feeling like I'm underwater.

Loud sounds bother me.
Loud volume, I'm so sensitive to.
I'm so tired I can't sleep.

But... One of these brushes is small.
Once dipped in powder, it covers the black and blue moons under my eyes.
I get swipes of color with a large brush.
Shocks of bright color with another.
Touch up, yet another.
My brushes create magic.
My eyes.
Eye shadows in all different colors.
I create beautiful looks. At least, friends tell me it's beautiful.
They console me, because each time I touch a brush- I'm creating art on my eyes. Sometimes my sister. Soon, friends.

The brush takes away a little of the pain.
I can paint outrageous colors and designs on my eyes.
And it brings me a little happiness.
A lot of color. A shock of it.
It's created by my hands.
Somewhere... Over the rainbow...
